Banning iPods In Crosswalks???

According to a WCBS-TV article, New York State Senator Carl Kruger has introduced a bill that would ban the use of iPods, BlackBerrys, or cell phones in crosswalks in major cities in NY state. I am skeptical that this will get any political traction, but I was also skeptical about the smoking and trans-fat bans in NYC and we know how those turned out. Before this gets even further out of hand, I hope that you will take a moment to voice your displeasure with this inane idea (especially if you are a NY resident).
